Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 October 2026
These Terms of Use apply to 60sec.world, including the public daily-question experience, 60sec Classroom and Private Questions. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
60sec presents a daily question and gives participants a limited time to choose an answer. Once an answer is locked, it is intended to be final for that daily attempt. 60sec Classroom lets teachers create short live polls, open a room by code or QR, collect anonymous student answers and reveal aggregate class results. Results and participation features may change as the product develops.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to use the service under the laws that apply to you. The public daily-question experience is not directed to children under 13. Classroom is intended for teacher-led use; teachers and schools are responsible for deciding whether Classroom is appropriate for their students and for meeting applicable school, consent and data-protection requirements.
3. Classroom responsibilities
Teachers are responsible for the polls they create and for using Classroom appropriately with their students. Do not include student names, contact details, health information or other sensitive personal information in poll questions or answer choices. Teachers are responsible for keeping their account credentials secure and for closing or managing rooms appropriately.
Students join Classroom with a room code or QR link and an anonymous technical session. Students should not attempt to bypass one-answer limits, impersonate others, interfere with a room or access a room they were not invited to join.
4. Private Questions responsibilities
You are responsible for the text and answer choices you create in Private Questions and for sharing private links only with people you reasonably intend to contact. Do not use Private Questions to harass, threaten, impersonate, solicit highly sensitive information, distribute unlawful content or send unwanted bulk messages.
Private Question links are secret-link access, not end-to-end encrypted messaging. Anyone who receives a valid invite or owner-result link may be able to access the information associated with that link, so keep owner-result links private.
5. Fair participation
You agree not to manipulate results, bypass one-attempt limits, automate votes, interfere with timers, create artificial traffic, exploit technical vulnerabilities, scrape the service excessively, or otherwise disrupt the intended experience.
6. Content and results
Daily questions are designed for discussion and entertainment. Questions, answer options, percentages, Humanity Match scores, comparisons and other results are not scientific polling unless we expressly say otherwise. They should not be treated as professional, medical, legal, financial or other specialist advice.
Aggregate results may reflect the people who happened to participate and may not represent any country, demographic group or the general population.
7. Availability and changes
We may add, remove, modify, pause or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee that the site, a particular question, historical data or any feature will always be available or error-free.
8. Acceptable use
You may use 60sec for personal, lawful purposes. You may share public links and public result cards generated by the service. You may not use the service in a way that infringes rights, violates law, attempts unauthorized access, distributes malicious code, overloads infrastructure or impersonates 60sec.
9. Intellectual property
The 60sec name, branding, visual design, software, site content and original question presentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for normal personal use and sharing features provided by the site, no rights are transferred to you.
10. Third-party services and links
The service relies on third-party infrastructure and may contain links to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for the availability, content, security or practices of third parties.
11. No warranties
To the extent permitted by law, 60sec is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate or suitable for a particular purpose.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of 60sec will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or similar losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Suspension or restriction
We may restrict access, block abusive traffic or take other reasonable measures where we believe use of the service threatens security, availability, fair participation or compliance with these Terms.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use 60sec.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. The current version will be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply to future use.
